Paddle Often, Paddle Safely

2011 Kayak Fund Raiser

This year we have two boats to be drawn for from our Ticket Sales. 1st Place is a Hurricane Open Bay 120 and 2nd Prize is a Wilderness Pungo 120.  So each ticket has a chance to win either 1st or 2nd prize.   Tickets are again sold for a donation of $2 each or three for $5.  A book of tickets has 12 tickets, so if you by the book you get them all for $20.

Tickets are available at the Paddlers Poker Run - May 21.  Many of our members will have tickets to sell and we also plan to have a booth set up at several businesses and functions - As they are finalized they will be added to bottom of this page and a list will also be on the Events page.

The Drawing will be held on May 21st, 2011 at the end of the Paddlers Poke Run festivities. Need not be present to win the kayak.

Both boats came from Brassingtons Adventure Outfitters in Gainesville

In the unlikely event that the boat is not picked up within 90 days of the drawing and other arraignments have not been made the boat will be sold and monies placed back in our club treasury.

Sometimes you don't want the kayak wrapping around you. Sometimes you want to be sittin' on top of the world, so to speak. No worries. The Open Bay 120 totally breaks the mold for sit-on-top boats. You see, with 12 feet of length and a width of 28 inches, you've got mega-room on the deck for everything: snorkel gear, coolers, dry bag, kitchen sink; And at 44 pounds, you can paddle this baby all day, whether you're exploring shoreline or riding waves.
