Hello Aquaholics, Boy oh boy did we have a treat last night ! We had a total of 38 paddlers on our fireworks paddle and every last one of them enjoyed the evening. A hand full of us paddled out and placed a marker of balloons and an Aquaholics sign to mark our turf. We returned to Kayaks and Beyond and then slid over to the Ale House because we realized we haddnt eaten in a while and we all know how ugly that can get. Speaking of getting ugly... I tried to stop the story that was being shared ( honest ! ) by making sure she was fully aware where the fuel for these e-mails come from and for some reason she continued. As everybody knows I TRY to NOT name names in these but if some folks with purple boats EVER ask you to go hiking with them you might want to check with the local authorities and make sure there are rescue facilities ( LOCAL ) available and notified. Im just sayin ! Seems we also had a bar tender that had some memory issues and a strange sense of humor. It seems she confused me with somebody else that might have had some issues of their own on a previous visit. NO PROOF ! ( yahtzee ). We were Honored to be with Joy for her first official paddle and although she did nothing that I could chastise her about (in print ) we hope she returns and paddles with us on a regular basis. She Is also really good at keeping Lucky In line. Although we did not encounter any pythons like we may or may not have seen on last weeks paddle, we did encounter a thief. When we returned to our "spot" our balloons were gone... Somebodys got some bad karma comming. As usual everything still worked out for the best... Our fearless leader Morgan either knew, paid or winked at the owner of a large beautiful catamaran sailboat ( sometimes its better to NOT know ) and he allowed us to tie off to him which gave us a front row seat of the evenings entertainment and entertaining it was. I have never seen such a fireworks display nor ever been on the front row for the same. Trish sent some pictures to the webmaster and i encourage other members to submit yours as well to share with other members so if we do it again next year they might want to come as well. A GIGANTIC !!! thanks to Morgan for making this possible. Thanks also to Gary for his help and his lovely wife for her entertainment value. Poor girl is still looking for the spring !!! Thank you to EVERYBODY that came and I look forward to seeing you at the Santa Fe on Saturday. This a kayaking trip and does not include ANY kind of hiking. MIKE
